Every marketing agency has a process. Most won't tell you exactly what it is. We will.

The APEX Method is Apex Authority's proprietary 5-step framework for making AI assistants recommend Australian businesses. It is the system we run, from the initial audit through ongoing implementation.

Step 1: GEO Audit

Before any implementation begins, we need a complete picture of where a business stands across all 6 AI visibility dimensions.

What we do: We run a structured scan across the four AI platforms that expose an API — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity — querying the exact terms a business's customers would use. We test category-level queries, location-specific queries, problem-specific queries, and comparison queries.

What we produce: A complete AI visibility score across all 6 dimensions, a competitor citation map, a gap analysis, a 90-day action plan, and a 1-hour strategy call.

Step 2: Authority Architecture

Before AI will recommend a business, it needs to know the business exists and trust that it is a real, qualified, legitimate entity.

Step 3: Content Domination

Where a content programme is part of an engagement, it is scoped individually. Every piece is engineered for GEO from the ground up:

Step 4: Platform Saturation

AI models don't just use content from a business's own website. They triangulate across dozens of platforms — and the business mentioned most consistently and credibly gets recommended most often.

We target: Reddit (r/brisbane, r/queensland, r/AusPropertyChat, r/AusFinance), Quora, YouTube, LinkedIn, Australian industry publications (SmartCompany, Flying Solo, HIA), and review platform acceleration.

Step 5: Citation Tracking

GEO without measurement is guesswork. We run the client's 10 most important target queries across all 6 AI platforms every week. We track: is the client mentioned? In what position? What reasons does AI give? What competitors appear?

We compile a monthly citation rate report and present findings on a monthly strategy call — adjusting based on what the data shows.

What the sequence looks like

The APEX Method has an order, not a timetable. We won't give you a date for your first citation, because nobody can — the models refresh on schedules they don't publish, and a business in an uncontested category faces a different problem from one competing against fifty firms.

The order is fixed by the mechanics. Audit first, because there is no sense implementing against a guess. Authority Architecture next, because a model has to be able to verify a business exists before it will vouch for it. Content and platform work run together after that, because a citation needs both something to cite and corroboration from somewhere other than your own website. Citation tracking runs from day one — including through the stretch where the honest answer is "not yet" — because a baseline you didn't record is a baseline you can't prove you improved on.

Expect the early weeks to produce no visible citations at all. That is the work landing, not the work failing.

The APEX Method is designed for service-based Australian businesses where buyers make considered decisions — builders, trades, legal, financial, medical, real estate, and professional services across Brisbane, Gold Coast, and South East Queensland.
